Congratulations Jeff Menard and his lovely family as proud winners of the ASU experience!
Jeff and his family were guests of AZ Pain Centers to the 7th Annual White Mountain ASU Steak Fry and Golf Tournament held at the Pinetop Country Club on June 19-21. The event hosted over 700 attendees for the three day event. Among others in attendance were ASU’s Athletic Director Ray Anderson and Past ASU great Danny White (patient of AZ Pain Centers). AZ Pain Centers wants to thank Danny White for allowing us to visit his great ranch and having a fun day fishing in the cool pines of the White Mountains. Events included the “Horse Race Golf Outing” at Pinetop Country Club, the “Heritage Cocktail Party” and almost 300 people attended the Friday Night Sun Devil party. After a very busy Friday, everyone turned to the final day of activities which included the Golf Tournament with Coaches and Past Player and the Steak Fry Dinner and Program. Todd Graham, Herb Sendek, Charli Turner-Thorne, Melissa Luellen, Tim Mickelson and Craig Nicholson along with other coaches were interviewed to the delight of the sell-out crowd.
The main purpose of the event is to reconnect Sun Devils with the University, have lots of fun and enjoy many new activities. Additionally, the focus is on our future Sun Devils who our Chapter supports with Scholarships. This year’s event is sending six new students to ASU with a total of $54,500 in scholarships. Over the past 7 years, The White Mountain Alumni Chapter has sent 30 students with $301,000 in scholarships and are projecting awarding scholarships to another 25 students over the next five years. This will increase the total scholarship awards to 55 students and $424,000. Additionally, we support the Sun Devil Club with an additional $35,000 per year. Over the past 7 years we have contributed over $200,000 to the Sun Devil Club. The White Mountain Alumni Chapter has contributed over $500,000 to support ASU.
